Comcast SportsNet Northwest today announced the return of Brooke Olzendam to the network. Olzendam will host the interactive Trail Blazers postgame show Trail Blazers Pulse. She’ll additionally do sideline reporting for Blazers pregame show Rip City Live. During the NBA off-season she’ll contribute to weekly programs CSN Pulse and Talkin’ Ball as well as sideline report for live broadcasts of the AFL Portland Thunder.
Olzendam returns to the Pacific Northwest and to CSN after three years with FOX Sports Indiana as TV Host/Sideline Reporter for Pacers TV Broadcasts. She spent her off-seasons reporting and hosting for the PAC-12 Network, following a two-year stint with CBS College Sports Network as its prime time football sideline reporter.
In her original tenure with CSN, Olzendam performed sideline and reporting duties and hosted Trail Blazers pre and postgame shows. Prior to CSN, Olzendam was the sideline reporter for UCLA football telecasts on FOX Sports West and Prime Ticket. She began her career covering the University of Washington, both as host of Huskies All-Access, as well as doing sideline reporting for both football and basketball; and she also hosted Runnin’ with the PAC, a nationally televised magazine show focused on the Pacific Ten Conference.
Born in Spokane, WA, and a graduate of the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University, Olzendam has a passion for basketball that stems from her father Dave Olzendam, a member of the Washington State Coaches Hall of Fame.
“We are thrilled that Brooke Olzendam is returning to CSN,” said Executive Producer Jeff Ingalls. “CSN’s passionate and loyal Trail Blazers fans and viewers deserve entertaining, expert coverage every night and they will get that from Brooke. Her depth of knowledge of the Blazers and the NBA along with her passion for the Pacific Northwest make her a perfect match for not only CSN, but chiefly for the fans.”
