Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan in Denver has announced a few adjustments to its weekday programming schedule. As part of the moves, the station adds two additional hours of evening programming and extends one of its midday programs.
Long-time Denver sports personality Sandy Clough, one of the most recognizable voices in the region for the past four decades, will host weeknights from 9p-11p MT starting Tuesday, January 16th. Clough previously worked in middays on the radio station.
“Sandy Clough is an institution in the Denver sports radio market,” said 104.3 The Fan program director Armen Williams said. “In the evening, Denver sports fans are looking for an outlet, and having Sandy on from 9 to 11 will allow him to not only give perspective on Broncos headlines but also provide postgame reaction to the Rockies, Nuggets, Avalanche, and other Denver sports events.”
The other change taking place involves Mike Pritchard and Cecil Lammey. The midday hosts will extend their daily program from one hour to three hours, occupying the 9a-12p MT timeslot.
“Pritchard and Cecil have earned this opportunity” said Williams. “Having the two of them on the air for three hours daily takes our station to another level. Mike and Cecil have a work ethic and passion for the game of football that can be felt through the radio.”
Pritchard, a former first round draft pick and nine-year wide receiver in the NFL, played for three teams, including the Denver Broncos. He was most valuable player of the University of Colorado’s 1990 national championship team. Prior to joining The Fan in August Pritchard spent a few years hosting a weekday radio program in Las Vegas. Lammey on the other hand has accumulated nearly 15 years of radio experience in the Denver market serving in a variety of roles, including sports talk host, fantasy football expert, and Broncos insider.
The Fan’s new lineup starting next week will look like this:
6a-9a – Schlereth and Evans (Mark Schlereth and Mike Evans)
9a-12p – Pritchard and Cecil (Mike Pritchard and Cecil Lammey)
12p-3p – Stokley and Zach (Brandon Stokley and Zach Bye)
3p-6p – The Drive with Big Al and DMac (Alfred Williams and Darren McKee)
