Entercom announced a partnership which will see the RADIO.COM app featured as a native automotive application in select General Motors vehicles.
The downfall of radio has been predicted for decades as listening habits change, but in-car audio has played a large role in keeping the industry relevant. Although a radio dial may be harder to find in a new vehicle, in-car connectivity continues to be enhanced. Beginning Sept. 15, seven million General Motors vehicles will feature Entercom’s thousands of podcasts and hundreds of stations through an in-dash app.
“Drivers now have another way to connect with their favorite station and talent, regardless of the market they live in,” Entercom VP/Corporate Business Development David Rosenbloom said in the press release. “And enjoy our robust portfolio of leading local news and sports radio content, as well as our suite of leading music stations, podcasts, and on-demand audio content whenever they want, wherever they are going.”
