On Labor Day, the Speak for Yourself crew put in a little extra work, thirty minutes worth to be exact. That’s because the popular FS1 program, featuring co-hosts Marcellus Wiley and Emmanuel Acho, has expanded to a two hour time slot, from 3-5 pm. Fans were quick to notice the additional half hour of content, asking Wiley on Twitter if it was a permanent addition to the show.
Wiley quickly and enthusiastically responded.
Monday marks the third time FS1 has expanded SFY’s timeslot. When it debuted in 2016, SFY ran for one hour, before increasing to 90 minutes in 2018, before the most recent jump in 2020. The program has also seen a steady rise in the ratings since its inception, drawing 35,000 viewers in 2016 increasing to 102,000 in June of 2020, making SFY one of FS1’s most popular shows along with Undisputed and The Herd. The new two hour time slot brings SFY more on par with those two programs, which air for two and a half and three hours respectively.
SFY is also simulcast on SiriusXM 83 and has a popular podcast.
