PAC-12 Networks To Launch Streaming Service

“It will be available on multiple platforms including Samsung TV+, Redbox Free Live TV and XUMO.”

Despite financial and carriage setbacks, the PAC-12 Conference is still betting on itself and its proprietary television networks. The conference announced on Monday that it will launch an over-the-top streaming service to give fans on demand access to highlights and games.

The service will be called PAC-12 Insider. It will be available on multiple platforms including Samsung TV+, Redbox Free Live TV and XUMO.

PAC-12 Insider will not offer any exclusive access to live games. As previously reported, cutbacks due to the Covid-19 Pandemic have absolutely gutted the PAC-12 Networks’ ability to broadcast football in 2020. It can also be accessed through the PAC-12 Networks app.

Instead, PAC-12 Insider will offer fans on demand highlights and condensed replays of recently played games. The strategy is meant to appeal to a younger audience that may not value the communal experience of watching a game live or care to block out 4 hours on a Saturday.
