Chip Brown Out At The Zone In Austin

“In addition to his radio prowess, Brown has spent more than two decades as a journalist, covering college football for The Associated Press, The Dallas Morning News, and most recently Horns247.com.”

Austin sports radio personality Chip Brown announced his morning show on AM 1300/103.1FM The Zone has ended because of continued layoffs by iHeart. In place of Brown’s morning show, The Zone is currently airing network programming from FOX Sports Radio.

Brown joined his co-host Sean Adams to create a local morning show for The Zone in 2015. Adams sadly died from a heart attack in 2017 at the age of 46, but Brown had since remained in the station’s morning slot.

In addition to his radio prowess, Brown has spent more than two decades as a journalist, covering college football for The Associated Press, The Dallas Morning News, and most recently Horns247.com.
