James Harden scored a season-low 14 points last night in Houston’s loss to the Indiana Pacers and former Rockets star Calvin Murphy wasn’t impressed.
While on air, Murphy, who covers the team as an analyst for AT&T SportsNet Southwest, admitted that Harden didn’t play to his usual standard, as reported by Awful Announcing. However, as the show went to break, Murphy, not knowing his mic was still hot, uttered “he quit” under his breath followed with a chuckle.
Unfortunately for Murphy, the bumper music wasn’t loud enough to cover up his comment.
While Murphy may not have wanted viewers to hear his comment, his take isn’t outlandish being Harden is averaging 39-points a game. He did however give the 8-time NBA All-Star credit for getting his passing game, finishing the night with 12 assists in the team’s 114-107 loss.
