Martha MacCallum Responds to the Events in DC

Published

on

Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum stated that the breaching police barricades and causing a lockdown at the US Capitol were “a huge victory” for pro-Trump protesters. As Congress was certifying the electoral vote count, rioters put a stop to the congressional debate.

“We are witnessing something that is just beyond our comprehension as Americans,” MacCallum said. “You know, one of the men on the street said this is the people’s house. And absolutely it is. But it is not a place where you can break windows and storm hallways and overwhelm police officers.”

On Wednesday, thousands of President Trump supporters gathered in Washington, DC, for a “March for Trump” demonstration before Congress met to certify the election result.

The protest quickly turned into a riot as rioters rushed into the Capitol building, prompting lawmakers and reporters to evacuate; other Congress members had to find a place to shelter.

Despite MacCallum calling this a victory for Trump supporters, she stated that those who breached that Capital should face criminal charges. “I think it’s worth pointing out that, you know, the group of people who breached these walls are — that’s a crime. They’ve committed a crime, and they should be prosecuted for it,” MacCallum said.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) responded to Tucker Carlson, who called the politician “eyepatch McCain” during a conversation about foreign policy. Crenshaw called the Fox News host “juvenile” for his remarks.

Crenshaw had previously conveyed to Fox News host Trey Gowdy that people who do not back sending $40 billion to Ukraine for their war are “pro-Russia.” As a result, Carlson went after the representative.

“Why is Congress so focused on Ukraine, but you can’t find baby formula?” Carlson said. “According to congressman Dan Crenshaw of Texas, asking questions like that, or really any questions at all, thinking you are a citizen, makes you’ pro-Russia.’”

“You know, the more I think about it, it takes a lot of gall for or eyepatch McCain to attack moms who are worried about baby formula as pro-Russia.”

Crenshaw spoke with The Daily Caller, responding to the remarks by the host, who was a co-founder of the outlet.

“You hurl juvenile insults when you know you’ve lost the debate,” Crenshaw said. “I stand by every word I said in my interview with Trey Gowdy.”

MSNBC’s Joy Reid recently accused Carlson of “injecting racist conspiracy theory into the veins of Republican voters.”

Left-wing pundits continue to attack Fox News’ Tucker Carlson labeling him as a racist in the aftermath of a supermarket massacre that left 10 people dead.

According to Breitbart, MSNBC’s Joy Reid recently accused him of “injecting racist conspiracy theory into the veins of Republican voters.”

“No singular voice in right-wing media has done more to elevate this racist conspiracy theory than Tucker, who, even with a new head writer, spends night after primetime injecting the rot from the dregs of the internet directly into the veins of Republican voters.”

The “ReidOut” host discussed a narrative that has become popular when discussing Carlson’s show and that is something called replacement theory. Carlson broached the idea when discussing the mass influx of migrants across the Southern Border.

“The reality is, Tucker is not some deep thinker,” said Reid. “He’s clearly just channeling the gross stuff his viewers could easily find online, then feeding it to Republican voters and Republican politicians as infotainment, and that feedback loop has terrifying reach.”
