Tiger Woods joined Jim Nantz for a brief interview during the final round of the Genesis Invitational at The Riviera on Sunday.
Last month, Woods revealed that he had undergone another back surgery and Nantz took this time to ask him about his timeline for returning. Woods wasn’t playing in the event due to his procedure but hosts the event each year which benefits his foundation.
According to Awful Announcing, Nantz isn’t known for persistent questioning but did push Tiger a bit in this interview. Of course, Tiger is well versed in deflecting questions and did so during this interview.
However, Nantz did get Woods to admit that he’s lengthened his putter and is “still in the gym doing the mundane things you have to do for rehab before [he] can start gravitating toward something a little more.”
