As social media clamors for clues to figure out where J.J. Watt will be playing football next season, Texans fans took time to thank the 31-year-old defensive end for his decade in Houston.
Houston’s Radio 610 set up the “J.J. Watt Goodbye Hotline,” giving listeners a chance to bid the superstar well after he mutually parted ways with the Texans earlier this month. Hundreds of callers checked in to leave Watt a voicemail via the hotline, with Sports Radio 610 putting together a 27-minute-long highlight reel of messages.
Watt entrenched himself into the community with tireless effort on and off the football field. In addition to serving as the face of the franchise for most of his tenure with the Texans, Watt will also be remembered for the support he helped raise after Hurricane Harvey devastated the city in 2017.
