Women’s college hockey is coming to TV! ESPN announced today that it has reached a deal with the NCAA to televise two games of the Women’s Frozen Four this year and stream the other.
The first semifinal game will be carried by ESPN3. The second semifinal and the National Championship Game will both air on ESPNU.
This year’s Women’s Frozen Four will be held in Eerie, PA. The semifinals will be played on March 18. The National Championship will be determined on the 20th.
Until last year, the Big Ten Network had carried the event. That television contract expired at the end of last season, opening the door for ESPNU to become the new TV home of the Women’s Frozen Four.
