The Philadelphia Phillies and Entercom have reached a deal to extend the team’s radio partnership with 94 WIP, according to Crossing Board.
The Phillies have aired on WIP since 2012, and have been heard exclusively the station since 2016.
The extension won’t result in any big changes. Phillies games will continue to air on WIP, which will include live play-by-play coverage of spring training, regular season and post-season games, as reported by Jeff Blumenthal of the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Blumenthal also notes that WIP will host regular broadcasts from a permanent radio studio built on the concourse within Citizens Bank Park.
Scott Franzke will return as the play-by-play voice, while Larry Andersen will return as an analyst for home games and Kevin Frandsen for road games.
