Nick Wright: Colleagues Scolded Me For Questioning If The Warriors Would Be Bad But We’re Reaching That Point

Wight has been skeptical that the Warriors star can carry a team to the playoffs.

The Golden State Warriors are tumbling down the Western Conference standings and Nick Wright isn’t letting it go unnoticed. The Fox Sports personality didn’t let his doubters off the hook when discussing the Steph Curry-led Warriors.

“Before this year I had the audacity to ask what if the Warriors are bad?” Wright said on First Things First. “What does it mean for Steph (Curry)? Now we are fifty games in, and the team’s terrible.”

Golden State is 23-27 and has lost seven of their past eight games. They are clinging to a half-game lead over the New Orleans Pelican for the final Western Conference play-in spot. Wright pointed out how early in the season, critics quickly pointed out his question as an “insult” to Curry.

Wright had this to say on Curry and the Warriors when the season tipped off back in December. “We know, in the NBA, a singularly all-time great player is not supposed to miss the playoffs. I’m concerned he can’t do it, that he’s not built to carry an under-talented team.”

  1. Steph Curry has ABSOLUTELY nothing to prove . Btw Steph put the Warriors on his back and carried them into the playoffs under Jackson .. Kerr elevated the offense to lift the weight of the back court.. but of course you know this right when writing this crap. The Warriors are rebuilding and operate under a different philosophy then the narrow minded box you operate from.
