Keith Hernandez Tries To Explain Situation With His Cat To SNY Audience Only To Be Interrupted By Mets Homer

In the top of the fourth inning, Keith Hernandez’s iPad started ringing with a call from the person that was supposed to feed his cat, Hadji.

There was a moment of chaos during SNY’s broadcast of the Mets’ 8-4 win over the Phillies on Tuesday night that gave everyone watching a good laugh.

In the top of the fourth inning, Keith Hernandez’s iPad started ringing with a call from the person that was supposed to feed his cat, Hadji.

According to Awful Announcing, Hernandez has been known for his devotion to Hadji, and therefore the call had him a bit flustered during the broadcast. Apparently, the person who was supposed to feed his cat hadn’t fed him in a while and used the wrong key which then got jammed in the door.

Gary Cohen had follow up questions about the situation. As Hernandez was explaining the situation though, Dom Smith hit a home run to left field to put the Mets up 2-0.

Later in the broadcast, Hernandez updated viewers that everything with his cat and lock situation was thankfully under control.
