ESPN isn’t slowing down its growth in the sports gambling space. The company announced that they’re bringing on Kelly Stewart as their newest sports betting analyst. Stewart’s main role will be as an analyst on Daily Wager and other ESPN sports betting platforms, including radio shows, podcasts, and across the network’s other programs. Stewart is starting at ESPN in June.
Stewart funneled into the Las Vegas sports betting scene a decade ago and is known by her Twitter handle: @KellyInVegas. She currently works for Bleacher Report and Wager Talk. Her notoriety grew from Showtime’s docu-series ACTION after it debuted in 2019.
“Having an experienced voice like Kelly Stewart join us better positions us to expand our sports betting content going forward,” said ESPN senior coordinating producer Scott Clark, who oversees sports betting production. “She’ll be an important asset to all that we are doing in the space, and like the rest of our sports betting team, she will be busy.”
Stewart grew up in Manhattan, Kansas, and attended the hometown Kansas State University. She was the 2014 “Mini-Contest” winner in Westgate’s SuperContest, an annual NFL handicapping challenge.
“I’m very excited about my opportunity to work for ESPN,” Stewart said. “Gambling has always been a part of my life, starting with wagering against friends on the outcome of events to playing cards and rolling dice, I guess you could say the move to Las Vegas after college was just a natural progression for me, and I quickly gravitated to legal sports betting. I was privileged to be mentored by some of the best in the business. I’m looking forward to sharing my expertise with ESPN viewers and sports fans everywhere.”
Daily Wager airs on ESPN2, weekdays at 6 p.m. ET with host Doug Kezirian along with contributors Tyler Fulghum, Joe Fortenbaugh, and Anita Marks among others.
