Maher Mocks Democratic Party for Being Uptight

Maher states Dems have become “fun-suckers”

HBO’s Bill Maher, who’s more known as a liberal comedian, recently took a shot at the Democratic Party during a segment on his show “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

The HBO host stated that the Democratic Party is sucking the fun out of everything. Maher has previously indicated his displeasure for “cancel culture” and pushing back against attempts from progressives to punish people or shut out specific entertainment due to offensive language.

“Once upon a time, the right were the ones offended by everything. They were the party of speech codes and blacklists and moral panics and demanding some TV show had to go,” Maher said. “Well now that’s us. We’re the fun-suckers now. We suck the fun out of everything: Halloween, the Oscars, childhood, Twitter, comedy.”

Maher went on to say that the GOP is now engaging in behavior that those in the past would condemn. The comedian uses examples such as House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) becoming an employee for a marijuana company and former Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr. and his wife admitting a past affair.

“We need to restore the natural order of things. I don’t want to live in a world where liberals are the uptight ones and conservatives do drugs and get laid,” Maher joked. “Democrats are the party of free love and fun and forgetting where you parked your car.”

Clay Travis Criticizes Simone Biles for Withdrawing From Gymnastics Final

Travis criticized Biles’ decision, noting that he felt terrible for her teammates and the alternates who would have stepped up and took her spot.

Talk radio host Clay Travis is speaking out about the Tokyo Olympic Games and the decision by Simone Biles to withdraw from the gymnastics final.

Travis appeared on the Fox News program Special Report with Bret Baier Tuesday night.

“I think this is a massive issue for the U.S. Women’s gymnastics team that she has decided to quit in the middle of competition,” Travis said. “I have never seen this happen, I don’t think it’s heroic, and I don’t think she should be praised for it.”

Several vital figures came to the defense of Biles, including U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee CEO Sarah Hirshland, who said that she was proud of Biles as a person and an athlete.

Travis criticized Biles’ decision, noting that he felt terrible for her teammates and the alternates who would have stepped up and took her spot.

“If she did not want her spot, she should not have started the competition,” Travis said. “I think quitting during the middle of the competition is the foundational effort level that we expect from all of our Olympic athletes; we want them to give their all.”

Travis co-hosts the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, which is heard on more than 400 affiliates nationwide and distributed by Premiere Networks.

Newsmax

Grant Stinchfield, a host on Newsmax, didn’t mince words as he claimed to be “happy” that Team USA Women’s Soccer and Men’s Basketball lost their Olympic openers in Tokyo.

The self-proclaimed ‘#MAGA Champion’ according to his Twitter bio said he was openly rooting against “Megan Rapinoe and her merry band of America-hating female soccer player.”

He continued by calling Team USA Men’s Basketball a “collection of whiny over-paid social justice warriors,” and a “bunch of anthem kneelers” who are “very hard to root for.”

Justin Baragona – a contributing editor for The Daily Beast – had to recap online.

Baragona pointed out that it wasn’t just Newsmax celebrating America’s defeat either.
