WBAL Discusses Rise in Violence With Fell Points Business Owners

Host Yuripzy Morgan discussed the dire situation that business owners and city leaders are facing during her show on Monday.

Dramatic video obtained by WBAL NewsRadio 1090 shows people running for their lives as gunfire is being unleashed early Saturday in the streets of a popular bar district called Fells Point.

Host Yuripzy Morgan discussed the dire situation that business owners and city leaders are facing during her show on Monday.

City police have been dealing with escalating violence in Fells Point. The situation has reached a boiling point where some business owners have threatened to withhold city tax payments if the situation is not addressed.

“It’s at night when things start to get really bad,” Morgan said. “We knew this from the letter that was sent out by people who have been in Fells Point for a long time. We knew this, but how did this happen again?”

The incident occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. amid a heavier than usual police presence.

“The report was that they were going to add a police officer from every one of the districts, adding to the eight police officers that were already in the area,” Morgan said. “That tells you that you are not letting the police officers do their job.”

A virtual town hall took place to address the concerns of local residents but the city’s mayor, Brandon Scott was a no-show.

The Yuripzy Morgan Show on WBAL NewsRadio 1090 and FM 101.5 can be heard weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Clay Travis Criticizes Simone Biles for Withdrawing From Gymnastics Final

Travis criticized Biles’ decision, noting that he felt terrible for her teammates and the alternates who would have stepped up and took her spot.

Talk radio host Clay Travis is speaking out about the Tokyo Olympic Games and the decision by Simone Biles to withdraw from the gymnastics final.

Travis appeared on the Fox News program Special Report with Bret Baier Tuesday night.

“I think this is a massive issue for the U.S. Women’s gymnastics team that she has decided to quit in the middle of competition,” Travis said. “I have never seen this happen, I don’t think it’s heroic, and I don’t think she should be praised for it.”

Several vital figures came to the defense of Biles, including U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee CEO Sarah Hirshland, who said that she was proud of Biles as a person and an athlete.

Travis criticized Biles’ decision, noting that he felt terrible for her teammates and the alternates who would have stepped up and took her spot.

“If she did not want her spot, she should not have started the competition,” Travis said. “I think quitting during the middle of the competition is the foundational effort level that we expect from all of our Olympic athletes; we want them to give their all.”

Travis co-hosts the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show, which is heard on more than 400 affiliates nationwide and distributed by Premiere Networks.

Newsmax

Grant Stinchfield, a host on Newsmax, didn’t mince words as he claimed to be “happy” that Team USA Women’s Soccer and Men’s Basketball lost their Olympic openers in Tokyo.

The self-proclaimed ‘#MAGA Champion’ according to his Twitter bio said he was openly rooting against “Megan Rapinoe and her merry band of America-hating female soccer player.”

He continued by calling Team USA Men’s Basketball a “collection of whiny over-paid social justice warriors,” and a “bunch of anthem kneelers” who are “very hard to root for.”

Justin Baragona – a contributing editor for The Daily Beast – had to recap online.

Baragona pointed out that it wasn’t just Newsmax celebrating America’s defeat either.
