Journalist Megyn Kelly spent two years at NBC before departing the network in 2019.

During an interview with Business Insider, the former correspondent spoke about her tenure where she stated that the job wasn’t “intellectually stimulating,” as it explains why Kelly departed.

“I had this soaring career at Fox that was great by any measure, but I was miserable at home. It was too stressful, too much time away from my family and my kids, and then I overcorrected at NBC by going too soft,” Kelly said.

“To be perfectly honest, the job wasn’t intellectually stimulating for me, and now I feel like I have the best of both worlds. I’m fired up and making a difference.”

Kelly and SiriusXM recently struck a deal as she begins a new venture with the satellite radio station, which starts on September 7th.

“I’m thrilled to be taking our program to the next level by broadcasting it live for SiriusXM’s massive audience,” Kelly said.

“My team and I have been grateful to see our show, in less than a year, become one of the most successful podcasts in America — proving that there is a thirst for open, honest, and more meaningful conversations about current events.”

Joe Lockhart: Media Cares About Viewers, Not Informing Public

CNN analyst Joe Lockhart joined Brian Stelter to discuss how the current administration’s media coverage compares to his predecessor.

A political commentator blames the media for its “unfair” treatment of President Joe Biden. CNN analyst Joe Lockhart joined Brian Stelter to discuss how the current administration’s media coverage compares to his predecessor.

“I think the press is failing,” Lockhart said. “They’re treating him [Biden] unfairly. First off, there ought to have been a dividend for returning truth and decency to the White House, and we didn’t get that we didn’t get that at all,” Lockhart said.

Stelter suggested that Biden might be inviting some negative media coverage with the small number of press conferences he has held.

Lockhart said the media have become more concerned with viewership and ratings than informing the public.

“It is more about getting viewers than letting people know what’s going on in the country. And that’s a failure, as far as I’m concerned.”

Howard Kurtz: Joe Biden on a Losing Streak Since Afghanistan

Kurtz said Biden’s most significant failures to date might have come last week as he struggled to convince lawmakers to pass the Build Back Better package.

Fox News anchor Howard Kurtz said the media’s criticism of President Joe Biden is coming from all sides.

The “Media Buzz” host pointed out that even Biden’s most ardent supporters in the mainstream media are turning on him as he struggles to sell his plan and gain the public’s trust in his handling of the pandemic.

Kurtz made his comments Friday on “America Reports” with Sandra Smith and John Roberts.

“For the pundits to say that Joe Biden had a bad week, I think is actually giving him a pass,” Kurtz said. “He has been on a spectacular losing streak since the Afghanistan debacle, more unforced errors than Novak Djokovic in Australia.”

Kurtz said Biden’s most significant failures to date might have come last week as he struggled to convince lawmakers to pass the Build Back Better package. Biden also delivered a speech in Georgia that failed to resonate with the general public.

“The press knows that these are miscalculations, and they’re all saying the obvious now, right now, Joe Biden doesn’t have control of his own party,” said Kurtz.

Joe Scarborough Mocks Donald Trump After Latest Ratings Jab

Scarborough appeared surprised and charmed by the former president releasing a statement to attack their show out of nowhere.

Former President Donald Trump went after a couple of MSNBC anchors Monday, releasing a statement attacking “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.

“Will Morning Joe be canceled? He and Mika’s ratings are very low—they are having an extremely hard time finding an audience to listen to the Fake News they spurn. Losing them would be very sad—hope it doesn’t happen!” Trump’s statement said.

Scarborough appeared surprised and charmed by the former president releasing a statement to attack their show out of nowhere.

While Scarborough was having fun with Trump’s statement, Brzezinski added by saying, “we do spurn Fake News” as the entire panel laughed at the former president’s choice of word to use in his statement.

“I never heard him talk about spurn, using that as a word,” Scarborough said. “I don’t use the word; it’s new vocabulary! Secondly, he can’t quit us! Even says that would be a shame, that would be a shame, with Morning Joe.”

“Well, thank you, Mr. President, we appreciate that we’ve been talking football for two hours; I’m surprised… he likes football, Rev you’d think, he likes boxing. You think maybe he’d write a little about our commentary on the Cowboys game or, I don’t know, perhaps talk about MLK Day.”
