Kayleigh McEnany: I Received Tougher Questions Than Jen Psaki

McEnany said the press asks Psaki softball questions compared to the questions they posed to her which she described as “very caustic” and “very personal.”

Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany is reflecting on her time with the Trump administration.

McEnany appeared on Sunday Night in America on Fox News Network to discuss the difference between the questions she faced working for former President Donald Trump and the questions posed by the current White House press corps to Jen Psaki.

“You contrast that to some of the questions currently being asked of Jen Psaki. She has been asked about a biting incident with the White House dog. She’s been asked about the White House cat. She’s been asked about the Air Force One color scheme. These are questions that don’t serve the American people.”

McEnany said the press asks Psaki softball questions compared to the questions they posed to her which she described as “very caustic” and “very personal.”

“I agree with 56% of Americans who believe that journalists actively make up stories to fit their narrative,” McEnany said. “These are questions I was never asked. Ultimately, I think a fair press is somewhere between the softballs Jen Psaki gets, the tough questions I got — somewhere in between.”

Jim Acosta: I Got Called a Lot Worse by Donald Trump

President Joe Biden called Fox News’s Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a b—h” on a hot mic this week.

President Joe Biden called Fox News’s Peter Doocy a “stupid son of a b—h” on a hot mic this week. Doocy shouted a question regarding if “inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterms?” Leading to Biden insulting the reporter.

During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” CNN’s Jake Tapper defended Doocy, stating that no president should talk to a reporter like that; however, a colleague of Tapper’s disagrees.

CNN anchor Jim Acosta stated he and others at the network “never got an apology” from former President Donald Trump, who relentlessly attacked its journalists during his time in the White House.

“We had the president of the United States refer to a reporter as an SOB,” Acosta said. “Ya know, Don [Lemon], you and I got called a lot worse back in the day. We never got an apology. I don’t remember that from the commander in chief. So maybe things are a little bit better to some extent.”

During the Trump presidency, Acosta covered Trump’s White House for CNN and has since taken a job anchoring a weekend show on the network.

Brianna Keilar: Tucker Carlson Is a Propagandist

Keilar responded to Carlson’s assertion by saying, “one is a democracy, the other is a brutal autocracy.”

CNN’s Brianna Keilar referred to Fox News host Tucker Carlson as a “propagandist” for his stance on a potential Russia – Ukraine conflict.

“Why is it disloyal to side with Russia but loyal to side with Ukraine?” Carlson asked during a recent monologue. “They’re both foreign countries that don’t care anything about the United States. kind of strange.”

Keilar responded to Carlson’s assertion by saying, “one is a democracy, the other is a brutal autocracy.”

“As tensions are ratcheting up between Russia and Ukraine, one Democratic congressman says his office is getting phone calls, repeatedly getting these phone calls, and they’re from fans of Fox’s chief propagandist Tucker Carlson, saying that the U.S. should be siding with Russia over Ukraine,” Keilar said.

Keilar spoke to Congressman Tom Malinowski (D-NJ) who said his office has received calls regarding Carlson’s comments on the situation.

“My district director told me that they spent hours on the phone with people telling me that they watched Tucker Carlson last night and why are we going to be going to war with Ukraine?” said Malinowski.

“The real question is why is Rupert Murdoch allowing this anti-democratic BS on the air?” Said Keilar.

Jesse Watters: Viewers Will Play a Role on My New Show

Watters has launched his new weekday solo show “Jesse Watters Primetime” and he spoke with TheWrap to discuss the details.

Fox News anchor Jesse Watters has launched his new weekday solo show “Jesse Watters Primetime” and he wants to incorporate elements of his former weekend show, “Watters World.”

“We’re also going to be debuting something,” Watters stated in an interview with TheWrap

“You know how my mom’s always texting me? We didn’t think that was fair for just my mom to be able to text me, so we’re going to be putting out a number where the whole country can text me. We’re going to have an open line of communication with the country, so I’ll be listening to them.”

Watters also says he wants viewers to play an active role in the show. The Fox News anchor wants his program to be “an entertaining hour with news and politics and culture, crime, tabloid — everything,” which is why Watters wants to make sure he takes in viewer feedback.

“That’s what the show is about: Listening and then rallying for the people. We’ll be having a segment at the end of each show where I will be putting people’s texts on the air, and I’ll be responding to them because we want to hear from the people,” Watters stated.

In addition to “Primetime,” Watters will remain a fixture on “The Five,” which airs at 5 p.m. ET. The anchor will have an hour between that show and his new nightly program, so he stated what he plans to do with that hour between his two shows.

“I’m going to be deciding the entire hour what I want to do. It’s my show,” he said. “The producers on ‘The Five’ usually kind of set the rundown, with some input from the hosts.”

“And it’s a very entertaining show, and that’s why people tune in, but this more of a solo hosting gig and this is my hour, so I’m going to be doing topics that I care about, whether it’s getting fatter paychecks, whether it’s controlling the border, whether it’s political correctness.”
