Jack Dorsey Agrees with the Return of Donald Trump to Twitter
Musk stated on Tuesday that he would overturn a ban on former President Donald Trump.
Soon-to-be Twitter owner Elon Musk stated on Tuesday that he would overturn a ban on former President Donald Trump. While speaking at the Financial Times’ Future of the Car event, the Tesla CEO stated he would change “the morally wrong and flat-out stupid” decision.
“I think it was a morally bad decision to be clear and foolish in the extreme,” Musk said. “I do think it was not correct to ban Donald trump I think that was a mistake … It alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice.”
Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey agrees with Musk, saying that Trump belongs on Twitter, as do other individuals the social media platform has banned.
“I do agree. There are exceptions (CSE, illegal behavior, spam or network manipulation, etc.), but generally, permanent bans are a failure of ours and don’t work, which I wrote about here after the event (and called for a resilient social media protocol),” Dorsey tweeted in response to Musk’s remarks.
Despite there being the possibility of Trump returning to Twitter, the former president has no intentions of returning as he’s keen on growing his social media outlet, TRUTH Social.
“I am not going on Twitter; I am going to stay on TRUTH,” Trump said. “I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it, and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.”
Piers Morgan: Protest at the Homes of Chief Justice’s “Domestic Terrorism”
“It’s not a run-of-the-mill protest when you basically terrorize the senior judge of the country at home when they have young kids,” said Morgan.
The leaked Supreme Court draft opinion that purportedly would overturn Roe v. Wade is drawing protestors to the homes of some of the Supreme Court Justices, including Brett Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts.
“Uncensored” talk show host Piers Morgan believes some of these people are acting like domestic terrorists. He made those comments while talking to SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly Monday.
“It’s not a run-of-the-mill protest when you basically terrorize the senior judge of the country at home when they have young kids,” said Morgan. “That’s a form of domestic terrorism that’s going on.”
Kelly referred to the protestors as “dumb” and reiterated that the leaked opinion doesn’t necessarily represent the majority needed to overturn the landmark abortion ruling. “They’re just dopes. Right, so they just go to the Chief Justice’s home for no reason,” she added.
“To me, it’s disgusting, and it’s actually deeply problematic because I think it’s an open attempt to intimidate a court. — Our White House here continues to shrug it off like ‘Protests are really a good thing; this is just a run-of-the-mill protest,” Kelly said.
