The Ticket Pairs Hitzges & Lewis

Norm Hitzges, who has gone almost his entire 40 years in Dallas-Fort Worth radio as a solo act, is getting a partner.

Donovan Lewis, who has been a major player on BaD Radio, will join Hitzges from 10 a.m. to noon on a yet-to-be-titled show starting Monday on Sportsradio 1310 and 96.7 FM The Ticket.

“We are giving Donnie a bigger voice on the station,” said operations manager Jeff Catlin.

Catlin added that the move was not triggered by sports talk ratings in the market. With the Cowboys season ready to kick off, this seemed like the right time.

Hitzges and Lewis have worked together for seven years on the station’s Cowboys’ postgame shows. Their chemistry has been solid.

“It was so obvious to pair the two,” Catlin said. “We just never thought of it.”
