On the eve of their first game this season, the Philadelphia Flyers and Beasley Media Group renewed their partnership which sees 97.5 The Fanatic continue as the team’s flagship radio station.

97.5 The Fanatic has held broadcast rights to all Flyers preseason, regular season and postseason games since the 2012 season.  In accordance with the multiyear extension, Flyers games will air on sister Rock station 93.3 WMMR in the event of a programming conflict.

“Beasley Media Group and their staff with 97.5 The Fanatic and 93.3 WMMR have been great partners for us over the years, and we look forward to continuing this important relationship,” said Shawn Tilger, chief operating officer for the Philadelphia Flyers. “We’re also happy to work with The Fanatic on the new weekly show to expand Flyers content for Philadelphia sports fans in the region.”

The new weekly show on 97.5 is Fanatic Flyers Weekly, which will launch Thursday, October 4th at 6pm.  The one hour show will be hosted by midday co-host Jason Myrtetus and retired Flyer defenseman Chris Therien.

“The Flyers have been part of the backbone of the Fanatic’s programming, so we look forward to continuing this great partnership,” said Joe Bell, vice president/market manager at Beasley Media Group. “The addition of the weekly show hosted by Jason Myrtetus allows us to provide an even deeper dive into Flyers Hockey.”

The partnership between Beasley and the Flyers also includes streaming rights, which makes game broadcasts available live on PhiladelphiaFlyers.com, 975TheFanatic.com or 933WMMR.com, and their mobile apps.
