ESPN Deportes turns 15 years old today and the network is celebrating with a street party in Miami. The event will happen at Wynwood Yard in the city’s art district. The network will cut in with live reports from the party throughout the day leading up to ESPN Deportes’ coverage of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
Network personalities Pilar Pérez and Sebastián Martínez Christensen will host the party. ESPN Deportes has commissioned Miami-based art agency Cushy Gigs to create a live mural celebrating the network and Latin culture.
ESPN will also celebrate the event. A three-minute package has been airing on SportsCenter throughout the day commemorating the launch of ESPN Deportes. ESPN Deportes personalities will also record short segments discussing their favorite memories of events the network has covered.
