“Though the two seem to have moved on from the events of four years ago based on the excerpts of the unreleased episode, it looks to be an interesting conversation nonetheless.”

Bill Simmons and John Skipper are, in a roundabout way, working together again as Skipper’s DAZN is now an official sponsor of Simmons” Ringer podcast The Bill Simmons Podcast, according to the Sports Business Journal.

The announcement appears to have made it past the April Fools joke timetable as Simmons’ April 1 edition had Simmons plug DAZN just as he does for ZipRecruiter, which now takes a bit of a backseat to the digital sports streaming service. Although Simmons didn’t mention Skipper in his latest episode, Skipper will join the show later in the week.

Skipper and Simmons have a bit of a rocky past dating to their time at ESPN. Skipper fired Simmons in May 2015 for “repeated lack of respect for this company and, more importantly, the people who work here.”

Simmons compared working at ESPN to high school drama to The Hollywood Reporter, though he felt many of his statements came across more harsh than he intended.

Simmons reset his comments on Instagram later “It’s 100 percent my fault – I’m sure I was trying to make some sort of larger point and screwed it up… My favorite memory of ESPN will always be the great and talented people that passed through my life.”

Though the two seem to have moved on from the events of four years ago based on the excerpts of the unreleased episode, it looks to be an interesting conversation nonetheless.
