With Major League Baseball’s Opening Day finally just three weeks away, a new Chicago baseball radio show is coming to ESPN 1000. Hosted by Jonathan Hood, The Baseball Show will air nightly from 6 – 7pm beginning Monday, July 6.

The Chicago radio personality is the host of Under the Hood on ESPN 1000 and a regular contributor to ESPN Radio’s national lineup. His new show was announced earlier this year, with a planned launch date of March 23, but with baseball on hiatus for four months, there hasn’t been a need for an MLB-focused nightly program.

ESPN 1000 not having an affiliation with the White Sox or Cubs gives Hood the benefit of being able to focus on both teams each night.
