Joe Hunk is leaving Alabama and headed to Nashville. Hunk announced that he was leaving ESPN 97.7 The Zone in Huntsville, at the end of Friday’s edition of the Thom Abraham Show. Later that day, he posted a video revealing his new job.

Hunk will be the newest edition to 3HL on 104.5 the Zone. He’ll join Brent Dougherty and Dawn Davenport starting Monday, serving as the show’s new producer.

This will be the first professional venture outside of Alabama for Joe Hunk (real last name Hunkapiller). Prior to joining 97.7 in Huntsville, he served as program director and afternoon drive host in Montgomery at Cumulus’s Sports Radio 740. He also made regular appearances on sister station JOX 94.5 in Birmingham.
