With the Beijing Winter Olympics opening on Friday (Feb. 4), Peacock has announced its lineup of talent for its daily studio shows on NBC’s streaming service. The Olympic Show, Olympic Ice, Winter Gold, and Top Highlights will be the four daily Peacock shows following the action from Beijing.
Matt Iseman and Olympic gold medal skier Jonny Moseley will host The Olympic Show and Olympic Ice. According to Peacock, The Olympic Show will cover the big, must-see moments of the day with athlete interviews and previews of upcoming events.
Olympic Ice will focus on figure skating, one of the Winter Olympics’ most popular events, with comprehensive analysis, highlights from competition, interviews with Team USA skaters, reports from practices, and breakdowns of scoring.
Three former Olympic skaters will provide analysis for Olympic Ice. Ashley Wagner won a bronze medal at the 2014 Sochi Games and is a three-time U.S. National Champion. Brian Boitano was a gold medalist at the 1988 Alberta Games and Emmy Award winner who has starred on TV shows for Food Network and HGTV. And Scott Hamilton is a longtime figure skating analyst (for CBS and NBC), who won a gold medal at the 1984 Sarajevo Games. Both Boitano and Hamilton are members of the U.S. Olympic and World Figure Skating Halls of Fame.
The third studio show on the Peacock Winter Olympics schedule is Winter Gold, hosted by Adnan Virk. The program will take an in-depth look at the standout performances of the day, allowing fans to keep up with the top action from each day of competition. Virk is best known from his work at ESPN, in addition to DAZN, MLB Network, and NHL Network. He’s also a contributor for Meadowlark Media.
The Olympic Show will stream live from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET, with Olympic Ice following from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET. When figure skating is not in competition, The Olympic Show will run from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. ET. Winter Gold will stream live from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. And Top Highlights will feature notable moments from the day’s Olympics action from 8 p.m. ET until 8 a.m. the following morning.
These shows will also re-stream throughout the day between Peacock’s live coverage and full event replays from the Beijing Olympics.
