Prestige sports content is a hot market right now and Tom Brady is cashing in. Religion of Sports, the production company he started with Gotham Chopra and Michael Strahan, has raised $50 million in series B funding.

The company has diverse plans for the money. Religion of Sports will create new scripted and unscripted series, podcasts, and even develop a few side projects. Axios reports that there is an interest in working directly with athletes to create NFTs.

For those looking, do not expect a valuation to be released. Religion of Sports is keeping that private for now. CEO Ameeth Sankaran said a $50 million series B would put the value of the company around $100 million and that is “far low.” He did not get specific, but said that the company has produced “well into eight figures in revenue”.

Religion of Sports is staying busy to take advantage of the desire for sports documentaries in the market. Sankaran says there are 17 unscripted series in the works and plenty of athletes are approaching the company about breaking into the NFT market.
