WFAN Announces New Weekday Lineup

WFAN in New York has announced a brand new weekday lineup will hit the air starting on January 6, 2020. The moves are a follow up to the recent news of Mike Francesa leaving afternoons, and Bart Scott heading to 98.7 ESPN NY.

The revamped lineup will see Maggie Gray reunited with Marc “Moose” Malusis weekdays from 10a-2p ET. “Moose and Maggie” previously hosted a Saturday show together on the CBS Sports Radio Network. Malusis recently held down the morning show on the national network while Gray worked the 1p-3p shift on The Fan with Chris Carlin and Bart Scott. Malusis started with WFAN in 2001 as a board operator and producer. He’s currently heard on the station as the host of “Football Sunday” with former New York Giants player David Diehl.

The Fan’s longtime midday team of Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts will get the opportunity to anchor afternoon drive on the radio station. “Joe and Evan” will be heard weekdays from 2p-6p ET. The popular duo have worked together since since 2007.

Former afternoon king Mike Francesa will stay involved with the station on a smaller basis. “Mike’s On” will become a daily half-hour show, airing weeknights from 6p-6:30p. Francesa will also host special programs, remote broadcasts, and contribute to other WFAN shows.

Mornings will remain the same with Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti entering their third year together. “Boomer and Gio” have produced strong ratings for the station in morning drive. They’ll continue to be heard weekdays from 6a-10a ET.

To complete the weekday lineup, Steve Somers will continue hosting weeknights from 6:30p-10p ET around the station’s live games schedule. John ‘JJ’ Jastremski takes the reigns as WFAN’s full-time overnight host.

WFAN’s new weekday lineup is laid out below.
