Troy Aikman has been making some big decisions lately.  Most recently he has embarked on creating his own beer, a light lager called EIGHT.

Aikman embarks on this venture while taking on another challenge.  He, along with Joe Buck, are the longest-running NFL TV team on the air since joining forces in 2002.  However, according to Front Office Sports, Amazon is hoping to hire Aikman and Al Michaels for “Thursday Night Football” next season.  The former quarterback has the opportunity to call the Thursday Night games while also appearing on the Fox NFL Sunday pregame crew.

“We’re kind of having those conversations right now,” Aikman said. “So, I don’t know if I will be with Amazon. And I don’t know if I will be continuing with Fox at this moment.”

If that’s not enough on his plate, Aikman has also contemplated running an NFL team one day similar to what John Elway has done with the Broncos.

“I think it’s a challenge that would be interesting to me. Quite frankly, and I’ve said it, I think if I were to pursue it, I would be good at it,” Aikman said.

Aikman also noted another former quarterback he thinks could move into the ownership realm: Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

“I think Peyton has some aspirations. I don’t want to speak for him — but there’s been conversations. I think he’s in a position where if that’s something he wanted to do, he could definitely do it.”
